Thomson Reuters Product Showcase
On Wednesday, April 18, 2018, we held the Thomson Reuters Product Showcase at our Customer Centre in Toronto. Attendees were invited to come for the day or drop in for a session of interest, and learn about the latest developments in legal technology. There was opportunity to explore, test, and learn about our products and services, and see in-action how Thomson Reuters solutions can help firms profit through greater efficiency.
The day was filled with speakers and sessions, covering a range of topics and practice areas. Khalid Al-Kofahi, Vice President of Research and Development at Thomson Reuters, presented the keynote presentation, “Artificial Intelligence and Transforming Knowledge Work – a practical perspective.” Al-Kofahi, discussed AI and its impact on the applications that are powering the legal industry, as well as practical examples and case studies of technologies being used. Seven other sessions were held; topics included personal brand strategy, strategies for developing a better litigation budget, the current political climate on cannabis in Canada, and more.
Speakers included, Zena Applebaum, Director, Professional Firm and Corporate Segments with Thomson Reuters; Davoud Salahi Rad, Brand Strategist with Findlaw Canada; John Campion, Partner at Gardiner Roberts LLP and Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto; Ranjeev Dhillon, Co-Head of the Cannabis Group; Jacqueline Lund, Senior Lawyer Editor, Practical Law Canada, Curtis Armstrong, Lawyer Editor, Practical Law Canada, David Bristow, Expert in Commercial Arbitration and Mediation; David Noseworthy, Senior Lawyer Editor, Practical Law Canada; and Marcy McKee, Senior Lawyer Editor, Practical Law Canada.
